Sour Cream and Everything!

Hey Family how are you all

I am doing great. I absolutely love it here! Elder Price is awesome and we are working like crazy! It has been raining like crazy this whole weeek so i am been soaked the whole week! The area is HUGE and sooo different than being out in the country. The ward is amazing! ITs weird not being in charge of church or anything! Went from 15 members to over 160! The house is nice to and i can sleep at night. i live with elder schoenhals, i dont know if you remember but he was my DL in Azua nad we had a bunch of intercambios together! The house has light a lot so ive been sleepign amazing at night! The other elder in the house is a Dominican from my group thats hilarious and knows english perfect so we have lots of fun. Prob not learning as much spanish but life goes on.
The people here are different! Def more like city people. I am used to everyone and there mom saying high but they dont do that as much here. Everyone has there on jobs theres no really set ocupation for the area. Just like the normal city life. I dont know if i will get to go to the temple soon. I know all the elders in the campo are going this transfer but im not sure about in the capital.
On transfer day i saw sister missionaries for the first time. It was weird. They wanted to talk to me and i was scared!
Haina is basically completely like a city. On thursday i went to La Sirena! ITs basically like walmart! They have everything and anything... even sour cream!!! I bought it. I had an accident there though, i let out a toot and it was a little more than a toot. luckily it didnt make it to the undergarments but i had to run to the bathroom. i figured since we always are open bout bodily functions in our family that it would be ok to say!
We are teaching a blind family. Trying to get their papers so they can get married. She was born blind but he was beat up and robbed 17 yrs ago. they poked his eyes so bad that he went blind and also has no use of his right hand because of it. They are soo amazing tho. They want more than anything to get baptized and then go to the temple. I had to help him find the bathroom at church and when he was done he said "did i shoot it right, i didnt shoot it on the floor did i?" i said you did perfect and then he was all proud of himself. i really like it cuz they like me a lot! They are awesome.
I heard taylor swift and it def made me miss her!
Well my comp only wants to use a little time so i dont have much time so I got to run. I took pictures of all your letters and I will read them at home and write you back next week! I read mom and dads but the sisters will write back next week!
love you all sooo much! Miss you lots
Tell the Rallisons back in the day Brayden and i would each catch over 70 on an evening and next morning camping trip! thats funny.. the most i have caught in one day was 40 back in the good days.

Transfer to Haina.... What does a battery mine look like?

Ok kenny. Real tough guy. Ratting me out when I am not even in the country! If youre gunna rat me out you gotta fill me in on the story? Four feet of water? I must not remember this one. I dont remember getting stuck in four feet of water? Or were you talking about the big sand hill we high centered on? Or when we rolled the rhino? or when i did a 360 in the truck on in the middle of the highway in pinetop on accident when it was raining and I pulled it off perfectly and no one said anything til like 10 seconds later and were both were like wow that was cool! haha what else is there kenny and keato? apparently you all are ratting me out while I am gone so I might as well confess! the countless times we got pulled over. what else did we do? climbing over Karlies "wall" to her neighbor hood. Sobe bombs that were always KEATOS idea. hmmmm what else is there. Im sure theres more but since kenny is giving in and ratting me out I might as well confess total! :)

Now that we got that out of the way. Transfer calls came. I am going to Haina. Its a compo of the capital. According to the website below it is the third most dirty city in the world. ITs built on top of a battery mine! Haha But people who have gone there say its amazing and that the ward is awesome1 It has an actual ward. It will be my first time working with a ward so it will be interesting! MY comp will be Elder Price. I dont know much about him!

This week was good. Another week in the trio. Thats always a lot of fun. The pres made a ton of changes this transfer. Every missionary in my zone was taken out except for the zone leaders. Looks like he is trying to change things up a little.

I have over 200 mosquito bites on me. I have tried everything and they still eat me! The power has been horrible lately. Its now just a joke. I laugh inside everytime it goes off. One night it was sooo hot that I just sat against the wall iin my bed for two hrs until the light came back on. I am sure someday I will look back on it and think it was funny!

As for the missionary work we have several investigators but were going to have to leave them behind. They are putting new missionaries here. Only going to put 2 instead of four. I am excited for the change. We will see what it brings! There are chocolate chips in this area so that is good.

About the lady having my groceries in Vincente Noble, we bought it in Barahona but we hitched hike back home. Bout 60 min drive but the guy dropped us off in Vincente Noble and I must have left it on the ground while we were hitch hiking for our next ride back to tamayo. thts why it was in VN. But the lady was just on a motorcylce and called us over.

I am soo excited for Keato to leave! He is going to be such a good missionary. Just do whats right. Thats where the happiness comes. Its a harder course but so much more worth it.

I love you all lots

Hope all went well with stevo. Being late on the first family gathering. Idk man looks like youre going to have to send the favorite brother a package of sweets to make up for it.

Sorry its not too detailed but my book that i keep all my notes in is already packed away. Were sleeping in Barahona tonight and then tomorrow i catch a 615 bus to the capital!
love you lots

Return of the Baking Supplies

Hey all how you doing.

Another crazy week in Tamayo. To start with, we got a call late on tuesday night. It was the assistants in the capital. They told us that in the morning (weds morning) There would be another special transfer and that elder Potter was going to go back to the capital. And that I am in a trio with Elder Muse and Elder Goodmansen until the transfer comes. A trio is a little harder to work with but we will do our best. Only one more week left of it.
Weds when we were in Vincente Noble for district meeting, we were walking down the street and some lady on a motor called me over. She continued to tell me that she had my bag with shortening and baking soda and cake mixes in it! I was so happy. What were the chances. But long story short we went to her house and that night we had cookies! Still not as good as homemade but they will do.
We met some americans. THey are from the peace core. The were dancing and drinking and somehow its gotten back around that they were mormons and that we missionaries were drinking to so were trying to kill that rumor but we arent having much success with that.
The last four days , our neighbor, whose sister is a member, has had a witchcraft festival in his house. They go 24 hours straight for 4 days. Not stopping for one minute and they play the same beat over and over! I am going insane with that haha but I saw a video and they slit a goats throat and he was drinking the blood of the goat. It was pretty nasty. And they were going on during church to so church was fairly interesting.

- How do Sunday meetings work? Well mom yesterday was a perfect example of church. Here there are only 2 hrs of church. Sunday school and Sacrament meeting. I got to teach the sunday school class then played piano to start Sac Meeting, Piano for sacrament hymn, Blessed the Sacrament, played piano, gave a talk, and played the piano again. We pretty much run the show here.
We had a few more inactives come to church again. We are working with some people but this week is a week of festival so there are a ton of parties and we when start to teach the law of chastity and word of wisdom people seem to loose a little interest.

We are all cooking for ourselves now. I eat grilled cheese and ham a lot. Speaking of that if you can fit it in with the solution can you send some vitamins.

We will keep working here in Tamayo. We will find some people. I love you all lots. Hope all is going well and tell everyone hi for me.

Hey yall

Another good week in tamayo. Before I forget, I awhile back you said Grandma wanted to send me an email and I am going to call her out on it because im still waiting on it!
And looks like dad is starting to follow Grandpas footsteps. Grandpa bought the tractor after the sons left and now dad is hiring people to rake up the leaves. Its ok Id do the same thing to dad.
TTThis week was good. We were robbed for sure but with some bribes evrything was returned. But the fact that someone can get into the house when ever they want isnt to conforting.
On Thursday we had an intercambio with the Assistents. It was good . I went with Elder Araya. He served here for 6 months so he knows everone so he took me aroudn to meet a lot of inactibes. We got about 10 of them to go to church on Sunday. He is a great elder. He goes home in 2 weeks.
Elder Barrett called me to say goodbye this week. It was nice to talk to him. He said that he was sending me some stuff and he sounded really happy.
I felt like a king on Friday and Saturday because i spent ALOT of time on my throne in the bathroom. I was soo sick on friday. I had diarrhea 20 TIMES on friday and about ten on sat. It was not fun, I think I lost atleast 5 pounds from that. ON top of that we havent had much light lately and that makes sleeping hard. And there is a war between the mosquitos and us. Were definently losing. Goody (Elder Goodmensons new name) Had an idea that if he smoke them out theyd all leave. The only problem with that is that we smoked ourselves out too! wow it was horrible.
Today we went to barahona. We got permission from pres. It was nice to get out and have a little change. We bought lunch and ice cream. then went to a big supermarket there and lone and behold i found baking soda and crisco. danggg itttt.... right now as i am writing this i realized i left it in the back of the truck that we rode in. Perfect day ruined!!! HAHA man i am mad at myself right now. Atleast we know i got moms genes :)
Well it is getting late and we need to leave and I am stinking hot sitting in this sauhna. But love you all lots and know that I love you!
Love

p.s. I bought a foto album today. THey only had a high school musical one. Reminded me of Kord and Kenny

HEYYY!!! I live! yesterday we had about 30 min of internet..enough time to read them all and then i wrote one letter to mare and then wrote the family letter when i realised the internet had gone. there was no way to save the letter I already wrote but its all good i can start from scratch. They couldnt fix the internet but when they did the light left. we had no light alll stinking day so there was no way to have internet. So thats why there were no letters and meagan i know maren is the favorite child but i have equal feelings for my sisters. It just so happens that hers was the first to respond too! ;)
So we had interviews with president today. They were really good. He told me some stuff that made me feel a lot better about why he got mad at us the other day. He is a really good man. I wish more missionaries would have confidence in him because if everyone did we´d be unstopable. He told us that if Tomayo doesnt start progressing that he is going to close it in six months. Talk about an awakener. We need to really step it up here.
THings are going great with elder potter. He is soooooooo stinking funny. He keeps me laughing all day long. He, Elder Muse and I have a lot of fun times together. We made some gangster friends yesterday so atleast we know someone gots our backs if anything goes down.
I am starting to really feel like I am making an influence. Of course I still have a long way to go in Spanish but for the most part I can fend for myself. Most nights I sit on the front porch and talk with all the kids from the street. They are teaching me a lot. I can carry on a conversation pretty well and I have gotten to the point where if I dont understand I can get around it and make it work. I really feel like I am forming relationships between the people and me and I like that a lot more. That was the one hard part for me before was that I felt like the language was a barrier between me and everyone else but I think I am starting to overcome that.
Haha I told maren in the letter I got off yesterday but all the kids, like 10 of them, surrounded me yesterday and were just staring at me while I was typing. and over them were completely astonished that I could type and not look haha I was the hit of the internet center.
It has been raining like crazy here. The streets just turn into rivers when it rains. I guess hurricane season starts today so that means that there will be more rain for the next little while.
The big story of the week is two dogs tried to fight me but no worries I won. I did a little studder step and crossed them up and they were toast. Like dad always used to say, its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog. They sensed my manliness and were scared (what they didnt know is I was about the pee man pants) but elder Potter and the member we were with were impressed with my mad skills.
HOLY HECK I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY MOSQUITOS IN MY LIFE. I am def using that net and repelant that suzy gave me. Wow thanks a bunch suzy. Its like all the sworms of flying ants that fly over the sewer river but theyre everywhen. LAst night during family home evening they were everywhere. I had to dance all night to keep em of me.
Yesterday, since pres didnt want us to leave, we had nothing to do all day so we sent some kids to buy airsoft guns for 50 pesos and we had a big war within the neighbor with all the kids. I dont know if my pictures are going to load but if they do youll see my outfit. I was legit.
I got the package from maren! THANKS SOO MUCH!! ( and meagan wants to know why maren only got a letter, maybe when she sends me so more brownies i will write her back too!!!) IT was soo fun to get letters from every one and here whats going on. THat was such a nice idea! thanks soo much everyone!
I cant think of too much new for now. I gained 3 pounds. Now at 204 so keatos gotta beat that. I am so excited for you man. Keep up the enthusiam and I know youll tear it up! only 29 more days! Oh and we got robbed today. I think. Someone left the door open while we went to Vincente noble for interviews and now some stuff is missing. Luckily none of mine!
Oh and about the retainer. Its not a mouthguard, its a night guard that dad made me. I have almost grinded through my retainer. Idk how I do it. And I am already to my last bottle of contact solution. THe clearcare stuff. Should last me another good while but just in the next time you send something I will need more! (PS. Dont put clearcare in your eye. Burns like a mother!)
But I love you all! THings here are really good. Def a challenge here. Seems like no one wants to learn about the gospel but I know that there is someone who is ready. We will find them. I love you all so much and I am so grateful for all you do for me. Know that God lives and loves us. Find him and reach out for Him. Sometimes the right way is harder but it is always more rewarding. Love you lots and goodbye til next monday!
Elder Wilson
